 The  Alvirne Memorial Chapel

The Alvirne Chapel on Derry Road was built in 1909 by Dr. Alfred K. Hills as a memorial to his late wife Virginia. It has been in constant use over these 115 years for religious services, weddings, and funerals, school tours, and other events.

In the Summer of 2025 the Alvirne Chapel was beautifully restored and updated. The Chapel went through an intensive clean up both inside and out. The original wood working and stained glass windows were meticulously hand cleaned and brought back to their original glory. The outside has been landscaped with beautiful hardscaping along with gorgeous plantings. The new addition to the chapel was added with two modern bathrooms.

The Alvirne School Trustees take great pride in the restoration of the chapel and hope that people will enjoy it for years to come!
